OCEAN IMPACT PROGRAM

The problem we're facing

One garbage truck of plastic is discarded into our oceans every minute of every day. Many remote coastal communities lack the infrastructure to deal with it.

No waste collection. No recycling facilities. And nature pays the price.

But when you buy a RIPL bottle, you're helping to change that.

1 bottle = 1 day of employment

Every RIPL bottle funds a day of employment someone in a remote coastal community to collect plastic waste, preventing it from entering the ocean.

But that's not all. By creating jobs with fair pay and benefits in a safe and dignified environment, you're helping to lift families out of poverty through reliable income.

Our process

Plastic is collected form homes, offices, schools and the environment, then taken to a community impact hub.

Here it is sorted, logged for traceability, and processed, before being transported to a waste recovery facility or repurposed into new products.

Where the impact happens

Our current impact hubs are in three key ocean-plastic hotspots – Bali (Indonesia), Kerala (India) and the Solomon Islands. With your support, we aim to expand our impact to Central and South America.

Our partners

It's all made possible through our partnerships with Positive Change for Marine Life and Clean Hub.

Positive Change for Marine Life empower people in remote coastal communities to collect and convert waste into valuable products, while shifting its source through supply chain transitions.

Meanwhile, CleanHub stop plastic waste at the source by setting up collection routes, giving homes and businesses a way to deal with their waste sustainably.

Traceability and accountability

These impact partners use trash-tracking technology to provide evidence of collection and ensure compliance at scale, making sure that every dollar of your impact is recorded and verified.
